Yi Shan awares that there is a lack of meal distribution activities during the weekend, we have scheduled a meal distribution session in Yau Ma Tei Community Centre Rest Garden at 4:00 pm every Saturday. 150 hot meals and 150 meal vouchers have been given to grassroots families in financial difficulties, elderly who lives alone and the homeless. The voucher recipients can redeem a free takeaway meal any time at a designated restaurant nearby.
We very much hope that these warming actions could be extended beyond and benefit more disadvantaged groups. Therefore, we welcome other companies to participate in "Journey with Hearts" and organize meal distribution activities wherever in need. We are very happy to provide advice on arranging activities, such as assisting in the selection of partcipating restaurants, as well as the actual operation and experience with other companies and volunteers.
This meal distribution project can also help restaurants in the district to alleviate their business difficulties under the epidemic, and achieve the effect of mutual assistance in the community.
